The Wellbeing Retreat provides a safe, non-clinical out-of-hours environment for adults experiencing social crisis, emotional distress, or mental health difficulties that do not require clinical intervention. You will also play an active role in developing and shaping the service, working closely with colleagues, health partners, community mental health teams, and third-sector organisations.

A key part of the role involves providing accurate information, guidance, and signposting to services delivered by Mental Health Matters Wales and other community organisations. You will maintain accurate records, contribute to monitoring and evaluation requirements, identify and report risks, and support the ongoing development of the service.

We are looking for someone with experience supporting people with mental health, emotional wellbeing, or social challenges who can build positive relationships and provide high-quality, person-centred support. You will need excellent communication and listening skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to promoting recovery, wellbeing, and resilience.

A good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, consent, risk awareness, and professional boundaries is essential. You should also be confident using Microsoft Office 365, including Word and Excel, and be able to maintain accurate records for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting purposes.

Experience of delivering group activities, workshops, peer support, or community-based interventions is desirable, along with knowledge of local mental health services and referral pathways.

The service operates between 5.00pm and 10.00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, providing vital out-of-hours support to people when they need it most.
